Attached is the photo of the Bead Ornament that I described during the telcon today. This was given to each graduating student of the class of 2013 at Chapman Uni., Orange, CA. It was a very special moment for us to see our daughter, Priya & other graduating students hanging this special ornament, made in India by women, on each other's graduation cap tassel.
I think the colorful beads & strong threads (nylon/plastic or even thin wires) would be a small item to carry to Sidhbari and it will be a very memorable & fun activity with children & women of Sidhbari area. Our students can help children & women in Sidhbari make bracelet or necklace or ornament and gift them. Some of them can be brought back home for lifetime of memory. Just a thought!
